One Type Of Realistic Planning And Training

A good friend posted this awesome video that shows one type of training scenario you can run that involves multiple skills you should be practicing if you are truly a Survivalist. Realistic scenario based planning, training, and preps (not the fantastical BS so many do because it makes them feel like they’re in the military) is what you should be doing. Is this scenario possible? Sure, especially in Alaska. Is it probable? No clue. We don’t have a crystal ball, so it’s train for the worst and hardest to survive scenario, and the rest are easier.

  2. Good stuff as always. I love reading/getting comments from guys making fun of such things. It used to irritate me a bit. Anymore though, I just chuckle, ignore them, and drive on. I almost pity them……..almost.

  3. that is a no kidding for real possibility.
the real pucker factor part is it may not be a foreign military you would need to run from.

    • An OpFor is an OpFor, is an OpFor. If a group is trying to hunt and kill you it doesn’t matter if it’s gangbangers, in house tyrants, or foreign military, except for maybe competence. Train for the worst case, hope for the best case, and do things in preps, plans, and training scenarios that cover multiple threats to get the most bang for your time “buck”. Unlike “militia”, Survivalists generally don’t get too overly focused on the minutia of the origin of a threat. They just know it’s a threat that needs to be dealt with.

  4. Nicely done. Great example of having to carry a main ruck…with everything you’ll need for the rest of your life…personal and equipment camouflage also was one of the best examples I’ve seen in a long time….
